In Time Prayer Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the In Time Prayer mobile app (the “App”) for Android and iOS, published by Tazwat Technology (“we”, “us”). It explains what data the App stores on your device, what data leaves your device and why, and the choices you have.
- App: In Time Prayer — Accurate Islamic prayer times with adhan alerts, a Hijri calendar, a Qibla compass, a prayer tracker, a tasbih counter, adhkar and nearby mosques. Prayer times are calculated on your device.
- Android package:
com.tazwat.intimeprayer - iOS bundle ID:
com.tazwat.intimeprayer - Languages: English, Arabic
- Pricing: Free. No in-app purchases. The app does not display ads.
- Account: No account, email address or sign-up is required. We never ask for your name or email in the app.
This page supplements the Tazwat Technology Privacy Policy. Where they differ, this page applies to the App.
2. Data Stored Only on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:
- Your saved location (coordinates and city name), used to calculate prayer times
- Prayer settings: calculation method, Asr method and Hijri date adjustment
- Alert settings: which prayers to notify, adhan, pre-prayer and Jumu‘ah reminders
- Prayer tracker history (which prayers you marked as prayed, and when)
- Tasbih counts and adhkar progress
- Language preference
Prayer times are calculated on your device. Your location, prayer tracker history, tasbih counts and settings are never sent to Firebase or to Tazwat Technology.
Compass (Qibla) readings come from your device’s sensors and never leave your device.
3. Data Sent Off Your Device
The App sends only the following limited technical data off your device. None of it includes the data listed in Section 2.
Your device’s location service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS)
- What is sent: The GPS coordinates of your current location, only when you choose to detect your location.
- Why: To look up the name of your city and country so the app can display it. This uses the geocoding service built into your phone’s operating system, under Google’s or Apple’s privacy policy. You can instead pick your city from a list, in which case nothing is sent.
OpenStreetMap Overpass API (overpass-api.de)
- What is sent: Your approximate coordinates and a search radius, only when you open the Mosques screen.
- Why: To find mosques near you. The request is not linked to any account or identifier. Opening a mosque in maps sends that mosque’s location (not yours) to the maps app you use.
Firebase Anonymous Authentication (Google)
- What is sent: A random anonymous user ID. No name, email or phone number.
- Why: To identify the app installation anonymously when it talks to our Firebase project.
Firebase Analytics (Google)
- What is sent: App usage events (for example, app opened and screens viewed), an app instance ID, device and operating system information, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address.
- Why: To understand how the app is used and improve it. It is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other apps or websites. Tazwat Technology can switch analytics collection off remotely.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
- What is sent: Crash reports and diagnostics, such as stack traces, device model and operating system version.
- Why: To find and fix crashes and stability problems.
Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Installations (Google)
- What is sent: A push notification token and an installation ID.
- Why: To deliver notifications to the app. Prayer time alerts and adhan reminders themselves are scheduled locally on your device.
Firebase Remote Config (Google)
- What is sent: An installation ID.
- Why: To fetch feature settings (feature flags) for the app.
4. Third-Party Services
The App includes the following third-party software development kits (SDKs):
- Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Installations, Remote Config) (Google): Anonymous sign-in, usage analytics, crash reporting, notification delivery and feature settings, as described above. Our Firebase project is operated by Tazwat Technology. Provider privacy information.
- OpenStreetMap Overpass API (OpenStreetMap contributors / FOSSGIS e.V.): Searching for nearby mosques on the Mosques screen, as described above. Provider privacy information.
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) (Google): Included in the app, but ads are turned off. The app does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers for advertising. Provider privacy information.
5. Advertising, Sale and Sharing of Data
In Time Prayer does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers for advertising. Your data is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The providers listed in Section 4 (such as Google) act as our service providers (data processors) and process the data described in Section 3 only on our behalf.
6. Security
Data sent from the App to our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock.
Privacy features
- Location is optional: you can choose your city from a list instead of granting location access.
- Prayer times, the Hijri calendar and the Qibla direction are calculated entirely on your device, so they also work offline.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Data on your device: Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone’s settings, permanently erases everything the app has stored on your device.
- Data off your device: To request deletion of the anonymous ID, analytics and crash data associated with your installation, email [email protected]. Uninstalling the app stops all further collection.
- Retention: Data on your device is kept until you clear it or uninstall the app. Analytics and crash data are kept according to Google Firebase’s retention settings for our project. Tazwat Technology does not store your location.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because the App does not ask for your name or email, the data we hold is linked only to anonymous identifiers. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. Children
In Time Prayer is a general-audience app. It is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the App, contact Tazwat Technology at [email protected].
