Tazwat Cycle Privacy Policy

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Tazwat Cycle mobile app (the “App”) for Android and iOS, published by Tazwat Technology (“we”, “us”). It explains what data the App stores on your device, what data leaves your device and why, and the choices you have.

  • App: Tazwat Cycle — A private, offline-first period tracker. Log your period, flow, symptoms and moods, and get cycle predictions and reminders — all stored on your device.
  • Android package: com.tazwat.cycle
  • iOS bundle ID: com.tazwat.cycle
  • Languages: English, Arabic
  • Pricing: Free. No in-app purchases. The app does not display ads.
  • Account: No account, email address or sign-up is required. We never ask for your name or email in the app.

This page supplements the Tazwat Technology Privacy Policy. Where they differ, this page applies to the App.

2. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:

  • Period start dates
  • Daily logs: flow, symptoms, moods and notes
  • Cycle settings (such as cycle and period length)
  • Reminder settings
  • Language preference

Your period dates, daily logs, symptoms, moods, notes, cycle settings and reminders are never sent to Firebase, to Tazwat Technology or to anyone else. They stay on your device.

3. Data Sent Off Your Device

The App sends only the following limited technical data off your device. None of it includes the data listed in Section 2.

Firebase Anonymous Authentication (Google)

  • What is sent: A random anonymous user ID. No name, email or phone number.
  • Why: To identify the app installation anonymously when it talks to our Firebase project.

Firebase Analytics (Google)

  • What is sent: App usage events (for example, app opened and screens viewed), an app instance ID, device and operating system information, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address.
  • Why: To understand how the app is used and improve it. It is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other apps or websites. Tazwat Technology can switch analytics collection off remotely.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

  • What is sent: Crash reports and diagnostics, such as stack traces, device model and operating system version.
  • Why: To find and fix crashes and stability problems.

Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Installations (Google)

  • What is sent: A push notification token and an installation ID.
  • Why: To deliver notifications to the app. Your cycle reminders themselves are scheduled locally on your device.

Firebase Remote Config (Google)

  • What is sent: An installation ID.
  • Why: To fetch feature settings (feature flags) for the app.

4. Third-Party Services

The App includes the following third-party software development kits (SDKs):

  • Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Installations, Remote Config) (Google): Anonymous sign-in, usage analytics, crash reporting, notification delivery and feature settings, as described above. Our Firebase project is operated by Tazwat Technology. Provider privacy information.
  • Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) (Google): Included in the app, but ads are turned off. The app does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers for advertising. Provider privacy information.

5. Advertising, Sale and Sharing of Data

Tazwat Cycle does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers for advertising. Your data is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The providers listed in Section 4 (such as Google) act as our service providers (data processors) and process the data described in Section 3 only on our behalf.

6. Security

Data sent from the App to our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock.

Privacy features

  • Discreet notifications: an optional setting that hides the text of reminder notifications, so their content is not visible on your lock screen.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data on your device: Use “Delete all data” in the app’s Settings to permanently erase everything the app has stored on your device. Uninstalling the app also removes this data.
  • Data off your device: To request deletion of the anonymous ID, analytics and crash data associated with your installation, email [email protected]. Uninstalling the app stops all further collection.
  • Retention: Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app. Analytics and crash data are kept according to Google Firebase’s retention settings for our project.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because the App does not ask for your name or email, the data we hold is linked only to anonymous identifiers. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Health and Medical Disclaimer

Tazwat Cycle’s predictions (such as when your next period is expected) are estimates based only on the dates you enter. The app is not a medical device, must not be used as a method of contraception or to prevent or plan pregnancy, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your health.

10. Children

Tazwat Cycle is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above.
